Construction glass is mainly associated with flat facade surfaces and wall partitions, as well as elements of furniture. It also takes on another feature in which it gains ”the third dimension’’. In the process of bending, the glass is given a new level of functional and aesthetic quality. This brings architects of buildings and their uses into a new world of multiple shapes.
The technology of bending glass involves the process of tempering. After the glass has reached the temperature whereby softening takes place, it is formed into the shapes required, after which it is rapidly cooled, or - in other words - tempered. Thanks to this, curved glass possesses all the features of tempered glass.
